I find the easiest way of getting rid of unwanted threads is to completely ignore them, not even post specific replies to stop them. I have seen several direct messages telling to stop, causing more replies. These threads must stop sometime, so I am also waiting it out. I admit, I have things to say about it, but this is not the forum. I suggest using a standard with messages, like <non ti> in the subject, so you can filter out irrelevant messages. This works well on several other listserve's I'm on. And if people that perpetuate these off topic messages don't follow the rules, they have to go, as simple as that. Also, I wish to apologize for this OT message

was not represenative of the consensus of the members of the list. Of the
last 200 messages, I bet that less than 2% actually contained any assembly
content, and that nothing was learned.
I will remain on this list to see how if this whole thing blows over, but I
at this point, I am not sure if it will.

response to the downward spiral that this list is taking. Its moderated,
in the hope that it remains ontopic.
Scott has *a lot* of great things to say as do many others, and a lot of
