Terminalogy is everything.  The bible was *written*, at least most
of the New Testament, by the apostles, friends of the Apostles (people
who were around when Christ lived) and by missionaries such as Paul.  It
was *copied* by monks.  (No printing presses)  And it was *translated*
by people such as St. Jerome and (what is the name of the guy who
translated it to German, Martin Luther?) various other people for
various other reasons.
