remember that the 89 is based on the 92, not the 86.  the 92 has a qwerty
keyboard, so there's no need to set it in alpha-lock (is there such a
thing?)
on the 92.  the 89 sto command does the same thing, ignoring the fact that
it
takes an extra keypress  in order to type a letter.
