A86: Re: How YOU learned 86 ASM




I looked at the source code for a TI-85 password program (which it turns out
was really poorly coded). I inferred from there. (This was 3 years ago.) It
was a while before I figured out the difference between JR and JP, and why
there wasn't LD HL,DE and that you could PUSH HL but POP it into any
register you wanted. I only recommend this approach if you're willing to
make a lot of inference. It took me about 6 months this way before I could
code well enough to write a shell for the 85.
