theoretically, you should be able to edit programs that are up to 64k
uncompiled and run programs up to 64k compiled.  actually, it should be
possible to edit programs that detokenize to take up all available
memory, but definitely not unless you retokenized it before leaving the
editor. (which the tios never does)
