Well, there have been several tutorials about hacking the calcs (the main
one being David Boozer's infamous "Hacking the TI-85"), but that won't help
you change messages.  If you want to change messages, you have to do it by
hand.  In other words, write [sqrt] programs or an interrupt routine to see
if a message is displayed, then change it.
