A86: Re: Pokemon

I would like to help graphics wise... if you want gfx ports from the gb
game..., and i can impart idea..., but i can't do much until i get the
american game (i have the japanese rom, but guess what, its in japanese and
i can't even use the menu!). once i find that, i can start porting
graphics...

and a side idea, i was going to start porting gfx tiles from gb to ti format
.db things... i have 3 frames of megaman from the gameboy done, and i was
wondering if this was a worth while thing to do.

And finally, in my article "What makes a good game", i introduced the
pokemon idea, and others including a possible diablo, starcraft, (someone
asked for a pinball game), racing, and other games. We have not seen any
incredible games and ideas or betas since mario 86, clem's 3d game, and the
knewly introduced descent game in production (which i hope will make it out
of production... ). If anyone wants to prove me wrong... make a kickass game
(sorry for language, but it gets the point across easier) hehe, and pokemon
seems to be one of the games that will be good.

Ideas for pokemon = include new enemies that can only be unlocked by doing
or finding things in the game, trading across the link, battling across the
link, a story line and plot with the game revolving around it, GOOD
GRAPHICS, hopefully more than 150 monsters, full stats, randomized monster
ratios for each different game start, so that each game has a different
amount of monsters (basically, each new game would make some monsters easier
to find and others harder to find). These are just ideas, and i have no clue
how to do any of this in asm, and only a vague idea of how to do it in
basic.
