A86: Assembler Directives

How exactly do I use assembler directlves like #ifdef. For example, I
want my source to be for both the 85 and 86, so I use the #ifdef TI86 ...
#else ... #endif set. My question is, how does the TI86 get set? Do I
have to do that at the top of the source, or is there a command to pass
onto TASM? Thanks for the help (again :-)
