Only if the addition carries 50% of the time, which it probably won't.  It
could be anywhere from about 0.1 to 1.0 t-state faster, depending on where
FP_Bits is located.  Chances are high that FP_Bits does not cross a 
256-byte boundary, so there would never be a carry, and the routine would
wind up being 1 t-state faster.

I think my way is prettier, though.  :-)
