Re: A85: ASM programmer wanted

I think that starting a game company for real is not a really
good idea. This whole selling ti85 games is just a bunch of B.S. I
thought that the whole mentality of being a programmer for the ti85 was
based on the original hacker moral that programs should be shared freely.
After all this isn't really a legitimate platform for selling software.
And besides it won't put bread on you table. I like to think of it as a
stepping stone into the real programming world. Ask JingYang Xu or
Andreas Ess about their brilliant programs that failed to sell. Whatever
happened to the full versions of McMik or Asteroids 2021? The only legit
way of making money that I see as far as the ti85 is concerned is with
selling hardware such as link cables, memory expanders, and possibly
accelerated calcs. If you want to start a company, then hire C++
programmers and do real PC programs, or see if you can strike up a deal
with nintendo making game boy games.
