Um, you can't bridge the capacitor.  It ticks by sending a 0 a certain
number of times a second (I don't think it's 200, more like 2 million,
but I'm not sure) and a 1 the rest of the time (capacitors are analog,
but this is what's interpreted).  Bridging it with another wire will make
the timer always send a 1, effectively stopping the calculator (clock
ticks never occur).  If you cut the capacitor, you would make the
clock always read 0, making the chip run as fast as physically
possible.  This will wear life off of it rather quickly, but it will almost
double the processing speed (from 6 to 10 MHz).
