Well, I basically don't know WHY I answer to this question, because - oh well.

1) Store the map into TEXT_MEM2 or GRAPH_MEM, using LDIR. Modifying is very easy then. The only problem you might have is with
saving the game.

Another solution may be using bit 7 of the data. 0-127 would be map data, bit 7 would indicate if the block is crushed or not.
2) With some link routines... Should be available at TICALC.ORG.
