I would definitely like a copy of any source any has got. Also, the
executable for Quake was fast but the data about the monsters, maps,
lights, and any 3D model uses Quakes rendition of C and I have seen it
and it is not highly optimized mostly because they had to meet a
deadline.

PS:  I know this last half is off topic so don't reply to the list, mail
me personally if you have any response.
