RE: A85: Sqrxz 0.7b

It takes a lot less time and effort to transfer a string than a backup between
two calcs, especially if the receiving user needs to transfer their stuff to
the sending user's calc so it's not overwritten. It is much easier to
distribute a game than establish a new shell in an environment where hardly
anybody has a Graph Link. Also, there are many people who don't like Usgard or
haven't put it on their calc yet. Making a program for ZShell makes it
available to all users, even Usgard users, until the Usgard version is
released. Besides, once a program is made for ZShell, it's not too hard to
change it to take advantage of Usgard.

There is a flaw to your logic on this. The people who play Usgard
games, will also obviously have access to the shell. Makes sense.
The shell is just as available to those without a graph link as is the
new game. Say Billy has a graph link and get's SQRXZ and is using
usgard. Bobby, at school sees the game on Billy's calc and want's it
too. No big deal, Billy sends Bobby a backup of the shell, which
includes the new game. So anytime someone without a graph link wants
one of these games, they have to get it from someone else, just like
they did before. only now, they will be getting a new shell also. Of
course, maybe someone doesn't want a the new shell. That's a
different case entirely.

As for what other programmers are going to do, i think i am going to
program exclusively for Usgard. But, i will make the source available
to any one who wishes to convert it to a different OS.
