It's just not worth the trouble.  If it's an old MFM hard drive, then
there's pretty much no way to do it unless you're very determined and
have a LOT of experience with the old standards.  If it's IDE, then
it's possible, but just not practical.  Any working interface would be
twice as big as the TI-85.  Most IDE interface connections require DMA
type speeds anyways, and there's absolutely no way to keep up with a
typical IDE device (even if we had a direct bus connection it would be
too slow).  The only option would be to either use a parallel port
drive or one of those "backpack" IDE device converters.
