Try one of the apple books.  I don't remeber the name, but it's about the
Mac Plus, SE/30, and II.  I think it's called the Apple Macintosh Family
Hardware Reference.  After all mac does use RS422, and rs422 is rs422 on
any mac.  that's why appletalk works.  it's a bit dated, but the info's
there.  If I were you, I'd go buy a $5 din8 -> DB25 serial cable.  It
kinda works (at least well enough to drive a modem).
