LZ: rf-link

I was thinking, why make the radio transmitter RIGHT off the calculator...
why not make it off the link port? this way there would be ANOTHER processor
that would handle all the low level net calls. Data would be sent in serial
form out the link port, where another processor would interpret it and take
appropriate action. The other processor would probably be a Z80 since why
learn 2 languages. This ALSO would enable people to reprogram the z80 chip
to do other stuff.

p.s. Ive been thinking about an idea of adding a sort of memory storage device
to the link port. It would run off another Z80, and would access a battery
backed SRAM (ive seen one for 18 bucks, 256k. ) i was thinking maybe 2 of those
(i believe the address space is only 64k, but i thought its higher address
lines could be tied to a latched output port, which would be changed through
software.) An OS similar to ZShell would be created, and it would read ZShell
strings (for compatibility). It would automatically load stuff off the offboard
chip for you, i was thinking transparently, like your computer does when you
run something off your hdd, and also youd be able to transfer programs into ram
so you could disconnect the unit and use the link for other things. Youd
also be able to use the link THROUGH the device, to use the link with out
much effort. Just some thoughts (a long p.s., eh?)
