Actually, I think given enough money anything can be done well on the ti-83.
For the people that never played Starcraft: the game was great because you
could play your friends, so you get enjoyment off psyching each other out
more than off the single player game, and it was incredibly balanced and yet
tipped the advantage strongly towards the side that attacked, making for
frequent battles (isn't that what we all want?) since the side that just
decides to defend gets massacred.
