I occasionally have this problem...(this may sound like a stupid
solution)I just pull the cable out and put it back in and then jiggle it
around.  It usually fixes it.  I think the link ports on the calc were
made funky and they aren't exactly the right size.

I began to see this problem about two weeks ago. I'm using a black cable

(TI's), I have the linking software that came with the cable, which I

a few months ago. There were no problems after the update, the problem

started now. I haven't dropped it.
