It is funny that you actually sent them that email.  There is a plethora
of information on the subject of random numbers, and Ti even has
documented the system routine for this.  No number generated on the
calculator is going to be truly random, since a computer is a finite state
machine, in which certain states are bound to repeat.  I dont know why you
thought that TI would waste their time on giving a genuine response to
such a vague question.  if you have questions like this, ask someone who
programs as a hobby, and realize how much effort and time that they must
spend helping you.
