A83: Re: ASM High Score Archives??

This would be neat, although there is no way to keep people from cheating.

I had an idea along the same lines as this.  Create a high-score program for each calc that would store a database of high scores for each game on the calc.  A game would update this database whenever a new highscore had been set.  It would be sort of like the much-hated libraries supported by some shells for the 85.  The main feature of this program is that it would link to another calc, possibly a different type of calc (ex. 86 <-> 82), and update both calcs with the highest scores for all games.

I'm well aware that no one will want to program or use this, but it's a neat idea none-the-less.  Also, it might work better on calcs that have one shell that must be used, such as Usgard or CrASH.  It could be built into the shell, so the score calls would always be in the same place.

I am willing to help (design or coding) if someone actually wants to write this.

Subject: A83: ASM High Score Archives??

Why doesn't ticalc.org or TI-files or some other place put up a ASM High Score Archive, where people can submit the program with their high score in it.  Has this already been done, and I just overlooked it?
