Yes, I got one of these all correct on my first try! :)

I have to agree that links to the programs in the survey options would be very helpful - what if you don't remember exactly which programs you have used?

It's a conspiracy to force you to browse the ticalc.org archives incessantly until you find all the programs listed in the survey.

That sounds like a fair conspiricy to me. You might even find some games/software you may wish to place on your calculator in the process as well :)

I find it fun to copy+paste the search term, cause usually I find a TI-84 version that works really nicely. Plus, its interesting to see what terms come up for a program :D

That idea *might* be tested in a future survey. We need to do a test run first to make sure links work given the current survey system setup.

Isn't TxtRider a few years old?

Nevertheless, it is a very fine program.

Yes it is; however, it's strange that updates of programs are included in a "Best program of the year"-voting; theoretically, a very good programm could win the POTY twice...

It is a difficult situation (whether to have updates to existing programs be eligible for POTY). But when you consider that a program might significantly improve with a new version, it seemed worthy to do. As of yet, we haven't had an updated program win so it hasn't been an issue. Certainly a program would not be allowed to win POTY twice.

I think that updates can be mentioned on the front page as a news item, but they shouldn't been valid for the POTY voting.
The authors should think carefully about a ticalc.org release anyway: sometimes one releases a program too early and all he gets are reviews telling "heavy bug" or a low rating.

Well, you didn't allow TIGCC 0.95 to run last year. :-(

TIGCC has been reserved for POTD -- Program of the Decade. Just don't let it go to your head ;)

I thought it was if a program was uploaded to the archives but not featured; then it was updated, and the update is featured, it is in the running for the POTY. Any future updates are not eligible.

..But if a program is uploaded to the archives and featured from the get-go, any future updates are no longer elgible for the POTY.. only the first release that was featured.

Well, TxtRider should've been featured earlier. When it came out, it was a very good program, and could've easily won something like POTY. Now, TxtRider is obsoleted by programs like uView.

I didn't vote, as I have unfortuantely used none of those programs. I didn't want to screw the statistics up with a guess.

Yes, either Sumo Wrestling or Texas Fighters. These two ones are more interesting from a technical point of view than a number of others in the second part of the survey.

With the difference that Sumo Wrestling is actually playable. ;-)
(Well, I haven't tested TEXAS Fighters myself, but I've read complaints about it being unplayable in its current state. I did test Sumo Wrestling.)

ya. it was hard to choose between texas fighters and sumo, but in the end i chose sumo because it has more features. texas fighters only has 2 modes and theres nothing really to unlock or beat. sumo has tournament.
