but i see you never did get around to doing the gta you were planning on getting done for poty...

On another note, it seems that Kevin Ouelette has pretty good odds here...

I determined that either 1. The gameplay would suck. 2. The graphics would suck. 3. It would use WAY too much memory. 4. It would be very slow. 5. Limited content. 6. Text based.

Now, I am considering doing another game, perhaps in time for next year!

OK, I MAY go back to GTA if I have an inspiration, but right now, I just do not see a playable GTA ported to the calculator. Isometric sprites may work, but shooting would be ankward, even more so than with normal sprites. Also, I do not see a proper 3d engine ported/made - EVER! :)

Why not make a GTA/GTA2-like game? Those are 2D and doable on a calculator, of course, simplified.

I have a "True Crime" [which is somewhat like GTA]game on my cell phone.. it's in 2D and it's pretty good.. it shouldn't be that hard to model a game off of it.. just take out the color..

Yes, I also have that game. Like I said, I MAY do it after I am finished with this project.

Because GTA is sadistic, evil, and should be destroyed. The staff of Rockstar games should be put in front of a firing squad.

And if you want to know how I /really/ feel…

It is a game for relieving your tensions. If you are really mad at someone, instread of killing them or getting into a fight with them, go play GTA!

Um...sort of ironic, isn't it? ;-) Not that I don't sort of agree with the first part...

the whole GTA maturity level thing in the news and all is getting very annoying. It should be the consumer's decision whether or not to get it, not the government and ESRB, (or whatever the rating company is for Rockstar games)

That is a project theat would be well suited for a 68K absed calculator however.. it could be possible to 'port' it with halfway decent [2D] graphics and such.

Just for the record (I deleted the rest of the comments replying to your post), fake memory clearing programs are not permitted in our archives. That is why there aren't any.

Mmmm… that explains everything. I agree with the decision to disallow those, by the way.
