Mouse 1.0 README/User Manual

What is Mouse?
Mouse is a GUI (pronounced Gooey, stands for Graphical User Interface) i built originally as a test, but later turned into a program that can manage any game made by Alex10819 Productions. It currently supports TIM83 and TextRPG1, and will have more programs added in soon (TIM84 will be added to a special version made only for the 84+/84+SE). Please forgive me for not being done sooner, but my stupid comp crashed and i got the honor of reformatting my hard drive... Dont buy a Gateway!

Why is Mouse so good?
Mouse is cool because it adds a certain Windows like feel (invisible flame follows) I dislike Windows...If you have Windows XP, like i do, please feel my sympathy, and maybe send me some :)... if i had the choice, i would gladly get rid of XP for something else, but i dont have the drivers for most of my hardware... to your Calculator, all while managing games made by Alex10819 Productions. It features a mouse with 7 different appearances, which can be changed by clicking one button.

What can it do?
1. Manage your Alex10819 Productions games and programs. (if supported. if your version of Mouse doesnt support a game you have downloaded, email alex10819@gmail.com for a version that does. include the name of the program that isn't supported)
2. Graph functions. While this capability is somewhat limited, it is useful when you want to look busy.
3. Instant Off - just click the "OFF" button in the top left corner, and BLAM! (when you start back up, you're right back in Mouse)
4. Instant Memory Check - Click the "MEM" button in the center of the top row, and Presto! your free RAM and ROM are displayed on a popup box.
5. Tools Menu- Click the "TOOLS" button in the top right corner to bring up a menu with some options.(this will be explained later)

6. Selectable Cursor - Select one of several cursors.
7. And Much More!

Usage Info
I suggest you load the program onto your calc before reading this, otherwise it will just confuse you.

The Main Screen

The main screen is where it all takes place... kinda... From the Main screen, you can see (from left to right) the OFF button, the EXIT button, the MEM button, and the TOOLS button. Then, going down from the top right corner, you see the ANS button, the CRED button, and the CUR button. Also, there is a bar at the bottom of the screen. Each of these buttons (and the bar) will be explained now.
OFF - Simply enough, this turns off the calculator. DO NOT REMOVE THE BATTERIES WHILE IN THIS MODE!
EXIT - Exits the program.
MEM - Displays your free RAM and ROM.
TOOLS - Displays a list of options you can choose from.
ANS - displays the current value of the ANS variable. this feature will be removed in a near version, since ANS always equals 21 (the key code of 2nd)... so, say goodbye
CRED - Displays some credits... no big deal...
CUR - Changes the cursor. This is based on a RandInt function, so if you end up with the same cursor, dont panic, just click it again. (my record is having the same cursor 8 times in a row)
The Bar - A message bar of sorts, most output from the program will be displayed here.

The TOOLS menu

Containing a list of tools, this is easy to use. The mouse is deactivated while this menu is on the screen, so you must make a selection by pressing the corresponding number on your keypad. (eg. press 3 to adjust contrast)
Change Prgm - this doesnt really do what it seems like it would, but rather allows you to modify the current status of a program (Archived, Unarchived, Locked, or Unlocked).
Graph a Function - exactly the way it sounds, this option allows the user to graph a function. it is a bit limited in its capabilities, but can still do several functions.
Adjust Contrast - Allows you to raise and lower your contrast at will.
Garbage Collect - Runs the calcs built in Garbage Collect feature.
Cursor Speed - Allows you to modify the number of pixels the mouse moves each time an Arrow Key is pressed.

The Extension
So far, i havent explained how to get games by Alex10819 Productions to work with Mouse. Why? only one real reason, and thats because Mouse doesn't really manage them, its extension does. The extension pack is completely interlaced with Mouse, and adds features that make it possible to keep all the Alex10819 Productions games on your Calc at one time. (auto archive/unarchive, automatic deletion of variables that arent needed... etc)
The Extension is PrgmEXTEND, and (if downloaded from one of the sites authorized to carry Alex10819 productions games) should be included in the Mouse.8xg group. If it is not, send me an Email, including where you downloaded the file, what version it is, and where to send the file.
