I heard that someone put the x-files theme song on the ti-83 plus. Is there a way to program songs on the ti-82. How would you program it. Email me at: xmarion64@aol.com

I'm not sure about how to program it , but it is true. At one point in time last year I had a jukebox program on my TI-83. Basically it worked like winamp. I mad a playlist, and it played the songs. These are of course even worse than midi songs, but it's still cool that a calculator can play music. Fro what I remember there is two ways to hear the music, one (I used this method) is to hold the LCD screen near a radio antenna and une the radio to an unsed AM station, and two ( I haven't tried this yet) you can buy an adapter at somewhere like radio shack that can make headphones plud into the TI's data link jack. I never used it very much, basically just to shw off to some friends, it amazed my teacher. The only song I ever had was the X-files theme.

I have both an 82 and an 86, so I check up on both. You should look in the 86 asm programs archives. There's a download called 86wav.zip. Download it, it has some insight on how. Also, you should try emailing him and asking for the code for his converter.

That is pretty cool with the sound and the radio. Now Iam not sure becouse I haven't try this before but It might be possible to just connecit head phones to Ti Calc. I haven't seen the program that plays sound like x-files so i could be wrong! But it would be cool if it worked.

THAT'S TOTALLY AMAZING! I think to do that you use the Send( function. Am I right, or do you need that asm thing?

Does the AM Radio trick work well with a TI-84+SE? If so, is there any particular frequency on the radio that would get best results?

I couldn't get the AM radio trick to work and I don't have even the $3 on hand to buy an adapter, so I took about an hour and a half to simply make an adapter from a calculator link cable to a headphone jack size. All it took was some thin non-corrugated cardboard, tape, and some wire (magnet wire especially). I've spent a while sitting here thinking about how I would describe how to construct one, but it's a lot easier to show a picture and then explain than to just explain. If somebody wants to know how to make one, I do have a digital camera and can take a picture of it and send it to you if you email me at stuffposingasmail@gmail.com and ask for it. Oh, yeah, and it probably won't take even that long for you to make if you want to mainly because I'm an obsessive-compulsive perfectionist. Or something freakish like that.
