I'd kinda like to get feedback in overall interest in my upcoming game. It's a turn based strategy that involves moving individual units around a field and attacking other player's units. It's just getting started, so any help is apreciated. Let me know what you think.

(Sorry if the details are a little scarce, I;m still working out HOW THE HECK to get started with this thing)

Ooooo, risky... Risk type games are very hard to do correctly. But if you can pull it off, I'd definately give it a whirl with my friends.

Hey, sounds like a cool game. Anyway, You cannot have more than 10 pics in basic. Unless, you make a simple program that runs through a picture you just drew, reading each pixel and save it's on or off presence to a series of about 12 lists. So really... NO. But sounds like a cool game.

There is one way to have more than 10 pics on your calc: use Basic Builder. Basically (haha) what it does is take one or more programs (and subprograms)and convert them to a 16k app, saving space on your calc and not taking any ram. However, it does not prevent any ERR:Memory from a too large program... The reason I'm talking about BB is it also allows you to save 26 pics for every letter... very useful! And if you need help for the maps, contact me at i_luv_les_patates@hotmail.com, I'd be glad to help you! I myself wrote a BASIC non-graphical RPG with a complete battle system, storyline, unique classes and enemies, sidequests, magic items, dozens of normal weapons, some class-specific, etc... But it takes 22k and crashes so you have to reset it often... I'm currently traducing it to english, should be done soon if I work on it. Anyway, fell free to write!

Dude! I had the exact same Idea a while back. I even figured out a great Binary type system that would allow you to have "re-writable" programs. I actually managed to put give it a wordbank of about 100 choice words, and I would enter a word, and it would enter a word at random, and I told it whether it was a good response or not, and eventually It started remembering what words went to what. It wasn't that amazing unless you knew that it started off choosing random words, and slowly learned. But yah, I'M DEFINATELY IN. Good call.

Upcoming TI-83 Plus SE Games: Beowulf 3: Revenge of the Dragon
LonePhoenix  Account Info
(Web Page)

I will be releasing a SE-only game called Beowulf 3: Revenge of the Dragon on May 15th, which should be the ultimate 83+ BASIC program because it includes maps and lands to explore. The demo will be out very soon. If you have any good ideas for me, or for ways to reduce its memory use (currently uses 15k RAM and 55k ARC) so it can be more readily available for Ti-83+ users, please post.

Rock, Paper, Scissors

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a game like rock, paper, scissors, except it would be fire, tree, water. If no one is interested I am not going to make it.

No, thats a horrible idea. If I wanted to play rock, paper, siscors, then I would play it with a friend and slap them every time I win.

I am currently working on a school RPG entitled Operation: School Sucks. It is an RPG in which you do as much damage to your school as you can without getting caught. You can either pull glue pranks, destruction pranks, or bomb the school. You can also gamble for points. I am about 1/3 done, and I hope to have the beta version out in 2 weeks time.

Sounds cool. Your walking on thin Ice with the bombing part though. Theres a lot of crazy ass people that would find that offensive or consider it a threat. I'm not one of them. I hate people who can't take a simple little joke, or find politicl incorrectness in just about anything. But I just thought I'd bring up the fact that some people might say "How dare you speak of such blasphamy". And then you'll feel bad. And then you'll realize that you're not religios, and then You'll realize that you don't care, and then you'll realize that people will wright long annoying letters pointing out the fact that all of this might happen, and then you'll go out back and shoot yourself. See, if you were one of those crazy people, you would sight the whole shooting yourself out back thing as politically incorrect. Anywho, that's my 4-1/2 cents.

I was looking on this site for an nice game of patience but I couldn't find it at all, so I decided to write one myself. It will be a program written half in basic and half in asm. I still don't know when it will be ready but probably within a few weeks
