Hey
JAKAS  Account Info

Yah, I have yet some more questions I was hopins someone could answer. All I wan't to know is how much the graph-link cable things cost, and how on earth can you use lower case letters. I accidentally did it once, but I can't figure out how to do it again. so, it would be appreciated if someone could help me out.

Ummm... I don't now how much the cables cost, I got mine for Christmas. But anyway, about the lowercase thing, if you have mirage, go to options->misc and check the lowercase box. That's the easiest way. You could also download a hex program that you could type into your calc that enables lowercase.

Yeah, or else if you have Omnicalc just enable lower case in the general options menu. In regards to the Graph-link, they're about $15-20. I gt mine free when I got my 83+, hee hee hee...

Hey, thanx for the answers. Although, which seems wierd, but I was writing a program in BASIC and everything just changed to lower case. And I didn't have omnicalc or mirage at that time, so there must be another way. Oh well, I have mirage now, so thanks.

Patching The TI-OS Routines
Nick_S  Account Info

Has anyone ever tried to do this?

Make_grbuffcopy_!!FAST!!:
ld hl,ionfastcopy
ld de,_grbuffcopy
ld bc,ion_fcopy_end - ion_fcopy
ldir
ret
ion_fcopy:
;code for ionfastcopy here
ion_fcopy_end:

cuz if this works then I'd go out of my way find out
how all/most of the romcalls work, write FASTER
version of those routines(w/ identical outputs) then
I'd make a program that copies these routines into the
OS. If enough of the romcalls were overwritten
over execution speed of just about everything would go up

anyone think this is a good idea?
for one we could get rid of the portion of code that
perhibits user-defined tokens
(think,... OMNIcalc on OS>v1.14.. :D )

Anyone wanna give some feedback?

I'm using Omnicalc to write the sprites for Ender's Game, but I have some problems with it. I've been hearing of this program called ZSprite, but it seems to have been replaced by an 86 prog by the same name. How can I find the 83+ ZSprite? It's the one Hitoshi Koizumi's using in FFTOM 3.

I doubt you could make a sonic game in basic, but it sounds cool.

Ziggy999  Account Info

Maybe if this is on the most recent page near the top, people will notice it and RESPOND!!! Okay...

I am making a game called Monster Crusher with my friend. The object is to either be a general and kill monsters, or be a monster and eat people. It is in basic. E-mail me for a beta version, or if you want to help. ziggy@mail.calcware.org

Basic, or Asm? Graphical, homescreen, or text? Screenshots? Demos? Send anything to me at mightyg16@yahoo.com. I would love to do any beta testing.

It's in Basic, and I'm gonna try to get it to be graphical as well as text based. If I have a lot of time to program, I'll have something playable in a couple weeks. Until then, I will keep on working on the game.

I'm sorry, but i have another question. I recently remembered that my sister but a silver edition (along with a Graph-Link). So I eventually found the Graph-Link and suddenly realized that I don't know how to use it. I plugged everything in, but I don't know how to send or recieve or anything. Is ther some software I didn't find, or what? I would be gratefull if someone had an answer. I would be happy if the answer didn't say I'm missing software :-)

Go to winzip.com and download the evaluation version of Winzip. It'll allow you to a) unzip zipped files and b) make your own zipped files.

You need software called TI-Connect, or TI Graph-Link, along with the cable. Graph-link never seemed to work for me (at least to transfer stuff) so I always use TI-Connect. I assume you have a silver/grey/clear USB cable? If your sister was using the cable, she probably already has software on the computer. Otherwise, download it from TI's site at education.ti.com. You'll have to search for it.
