My company, EQ Games, are currently working on two epic titles, The Lance of Time 2(tentative title) and Sector One for the 83-plus. I have just finished programming the fun pc title, SKi Free!, which will be put up in the next week or so. If you haven't played any of our games, they include: The Lance of Time:Part 1(rpg), World Conquest(strategy), Asteroids ver. 1.5(dodging game),and Earth Quest 2 was made before EQ was formed, but was made by me. If you have played Lance of Time Part 1 you might have noticed not much of a story(ignore the description, which was not done by EQ) but Part 2 will have an epic and evolving and very complex story, and will make one of the greatest RPG's for a calculator. Also, our apologies to the lists not available on World Conquest and the picture not in the ad we posted. This was not done by a person at EQ. Thank you, and send any comments or ideas to eqgames@yahoo.com .

Cantictian Games Presents: Doom~Epoch-Chron
Pandrogas  Account Info
(Web Page)

Well, our game Doom will be coming out in little under a monthe, cleaned up and spit-shined (no, it will not be disgusting), and will hopefully be uploaded with complete documentation. The game features a pretty good, but a little flashy basic engine with pretty good graphics. Ten levels will challenge and mind-boggle you as you try to simply go home. In any case this is the update.

Saving
J C Account Info

If you want your game to save, you need to have a very organized variable setup. If you have this, it shouldnt be hard to make it save. Just leave the list or matrix data on the calculator, and have the program set up so that it will automatically put you in the proper place and status when you start the game, based on the matrix or list data.

Cantictian Games Presents: Doom~Epoch Chron
Pandrogas  Account Info
(Web Page)

I have finally uploaded the game, it should be downloadable within a few days. If you don't know what it is, see posts above this one. Trust me, its worth the download, I've been working on it for about two months. Anyways, my next project will be Tomb, a roleplayer where you (yes you) get to play within the enviornment. That enviorment is the forsaken tomb of the Lich Sorcerer Niershak. More on the game will be posted after I have begun to get it going. Also be sure to check out my Anime programs!

I would love to get some information about RPG's to make mine the best looking, fastest running, and fun RPG out there. If you would be so kind to lend some help my way, it would be much appreciated. Thanks

Well, I can arrange something for an RPG, but the fun part is simply comming up with the stuff on your own. Let your imagination soar, just make sure it can realisticly fit into the bounds of the calc.

Upcoming TI-83 Plus Games
Basic_Programmer  Account Info

I am currently finnishing on a Boot-up for the Mirrage OS, and I am going to be starting on an RPG. I dont have any idea what to have the RPG about, and the only reason I am making one is to waist time in Math Class. I would love to hear some suggestions about what to put in this game. I havent started it yet, so anything will accepted into thought. Thanks guys for your suggestions

Well, I'll tell you this much. Programming an RPG for the 83+ is a headache. Even if you manage to get your game partially done, you'll likely run out of memory before you can finish. I've had to cut a lot of corners and devise a lot of clever tricks to get as much into my game (FF7TIdbits) as I have. If you dont have a lot of game programming experience you should try something other than an rpg :)

I do have game programming experience and I do want to create an RPG. I do know that I will come close to running out of mem, but I dont believe that I am going to actually run out of mem. Besides, I have plenty of calcs (almost like a calc graveyard at my house) and a couple of home-made expanders. I am not sure how to make my game run faster... it isnt really a problem for me because I have my calc overclocked. Everything you could possably do to your calc to improve it, I have done. I just need some ideas about what to put into this game. I cant guarantee that everything is going to be put into the game, but I have created a couple of bosses in my head already and I am about 2/5 of the way through the first level (this is a big one). I am also 4/5 of the way finnished with the map of the game. I am thinking I am going to make it like a quest/zelda type of game with a little of the Command & Conquer type of squirmish in the game. I unfortunately need an AI, not an intellegent one though, to play if I want to have a squirmish mode. I am also in the making of a Chess program. I am sure you all can tell that I start a bunch of prgms all at the same time. When I get tired of doing one, I switch to another. That way I minimize the headachs. :) I must be going now though, date tonight. I will be looking forward to any suggestions you all have. Good-Bye for now!

I would also like a copy of your new game when it comes out. It sounds very interesting. I only have one question... How big is it? I do have expanders, but I dont have too many of them. So if I am gonna put it on one of them, then I need to know how big the file(s) are. I would also like to know what it is written in. If it is writtne in BASIC, then I might have a few questions for you. Thanks again! :-)

my game

v0.9 will be out in a day or two, you can get it from the recent files then. It's in BASIC, but you wont care because its fun, and you can easily blow an hour playing it. The game is now completely finished except for the tweaking of enemy and player attributes.

Final Fantasy 7 TIdbits
J C Account Info

Development has been going smoothly on my game. I plan to release v0.9 by Friday. The game is currently about 75% done. It has 6 playable characters, 15 enemies, including 4 bosses, 4 levels to explore, over 20 spells and 13 types of materia, 5 items(the final version will have more), a solid battle and attributes engine, shops, chocobo races, treasure chests, and more. This game is a very good condensed version of one of the best RPG's of all time. Look for it :)
