What is a .zip file?

A .zip file is basically a folder which can be downloaded over the Internet. It also compresses most of the files it houses within it, hence the reason why we require you to upload your files in a compressed format, to save space and make it easier for all users to download. If you attempt to upload a file other that a standard .zip you will give you an error. There are a few exceptions to this, but for the most part we encourage you to use .zip files.
