This is the first time I caught a new survey in its early stages. Well, anyway, fourth post, and I wasn't there! I had better things to do, and out of sheer laziness, I didn't even bother to log on that day even though I was fully aware of the party. I was just working on an app with the free SDK.

Once again, my useless rambling.

MY crap I didn't even know about this dumb anniversary!
It should have another option: "No, I didn't know or even care about this."

Would that would be the same as "No, I have better things to do"?

I just download calculator games from this website! Attend a party full of people who do nothing but talk about advanced math and new kinds of TI calculators? Gee, sounds tempting! Some of us have jobs and lives away from ticalc.org!

Please respect the views, past times and lesiure activitys of others. Just because you have a job and life away from this website doesn't mean the rest of us do or want to.

Did it ever occur to you that the people that run this web site have jobs and lives too. Most of their jobs are the website, and at least in a few cases, it is their life too... Is it wrong for them to feel a sense of accomplishment for being the best TI calculator site for five years running?

Go ticalc.org!
mccmatt

Certainly not! I agree with you. Though I had no idea about this "anniversary party", I'm glad that the staff of this wonderful organization took the time to pat themselves on the back. Go ticalc.org!

wouldnt you have liked to talk to some of the people who made your programs? and why are you saying they have no life, its a hobby. i play hockey a lot, so does that mean i have no life? plus, there are not many other things to do online. i didnt make it to the party though, oh well.
(and i would think most of us have jobs, the calc's are not exactly somehing you can buy with the money you find on the ground).

<<and i would think most of us have jobs>>

Unfortunately, no. Most of the people here on ticalc.org are high school kids.

im a high schooler too, so i dont see your point. a lot of people where i live work in high school, its just harder to find a job until you are 16 or 18 (im only 15, so i cannot work many places. i want to get a new job when i am 16 so that i will be able to afford a dodge truck)

I was right! You're jealous because you only know TI-83 Basic, and (most of) the people who make games here know Assembly.

I don't think there was any conversation about "advanced math and new types of TI calculators."

Actually most of the conversation was idle chat, pretty funny if you were there idly (is that a word?) chatting, but if you weren't there, you probably wouldn't understand, judging from people's opinion of the log. Although to pleonazim's credit, it was nerd stuff, not a single word of advanced math was uttered. Most of it was completely pointless, kind of like most parties.

To be expected, especially the first one :)
