The Ti-89 is:
THE BEST CALCULATOR I'VE EVER USED!!
I can't wait to see what future AMS versions will bring!
There's even the possibility of a new O/S!
I mean, c'mon, with that SDK coming out, SOMEONE Will do something like linux or something. It is and will be the best.

I live in Montana and in my school there is about 400 kids k-8 and the 7,8 share the same math teacher. In 7th you don't have to have a calc. In 8th I is really pushed and in 8th integraded (thats what i'm in) it is required to have a 83+. But I think that were the only school in Missoula that is requiring them at an eight grade level.

I go to a school with about 2700 other morons, er, people and almost all of them have TI-83s or 83+s. Maybe a few have 85 or highers. Some people have Casio's, I guess that color screen captivated them or something. Some of the people still have scientific calculators, like in the "Math Concepts Class." We didn't have a teacher for AP Calc BC today, so we (all 6 of us) had to sit in the above class. They divided decimals today. It's interesting when you mix the highest and lowest math classes in the same room. Well, there's my two cents.

I live in Catalunya, a diferent country, but it is considered Spain for non-catalan people. In my class I'm the only one who has a TI calculator. In my class there's a HP 49G also, but i think that programming a TI is easier than a HP. In Spain TI's are hard to found and very expensive. I recomend not to do an overcloking of a calculator, 'cause i did it with ,y TI 83 and now it's dead.
