I would definately invade Sweden!

For one, the ticalc.org server is there, so I could phisically take it over and then host a site for more Super Soakers (just like calc.org)!!!! Also, Sweden has some really good cheese. Then I would take all of the HP's in Sweeden, stuff them in a effigy of Magnus, and then BURN IT 'TILL IT HURT!!!!!

Then program some more on my TI-89.
Just a normal day in my life ;)

I wish I could have more than one vote, this survey is so good. But in all things considered, I voted for mass panic. I haven't had any instances of mass panic recently, so that would be a nice change of pace.

Yes! I would take it over then delete all the Double versions of Games like all the PONG Games and then handle it by myself!

Invade Sweden with the TI 81/83s going in on the ground, the 89T//Voyage 200 hacking into the air defense, the 84+s attacking from the air, and the 83+ would definitely be in charge of confusing the other soldiers with endless lines of BASIC code...

or something like that

That sounds like a plan... I dunno what I would do if the staff left though, I know they won't. I've only known of this site for a short while, and the staff has been doing such an awesome job. I think this site is great, and is a wonderful way for people to begin getting hyped in programming and looking in a direction of a career. I'm a Sophomore, in high school, in Precalculus and I've found some pretty good programs. I especially love the options of MirageOS and ASM programs. Anyway. I'd go in mass panic if the staff left. The TI community depends on them!

What about the 85s and 86s? They seem like good naval support ships.

use the 80s and the 81s as suicide bombers and the 82s/83s as infantry.

idk... suicide bombings pretty low. Maybe as a fall back plan in case Sweden has secret regiments of Casios and HPs... *shudders*

You mention taking over the domain, but what about taking over the actual machines serving ticalc.org? If the staff disappeared, then there'd be nobody to patch them and maybe I could eventually get root....

Not really; the server is really locked down. We have full-time, top-secret staffers who review (by hand) every single packet and allow/reject/drop it. So of course if we all disappeared, then there'd be nobody to do this. Therefore, the server would instantly be firewalled!

In that case, we would just have to invade Sweden so we could regain control! Well, someone else would have to do that. I am too busy ruling my own dimension.

You're making a pretty big assumption there: if the manual screening times out the packets will be dropped. Are you completely sure that is the case? If I were you, I'd double-check that part of the configuration!
Just wondering: does this manual-checking stuff mean ticalc.org is, uhm, a tiny bit susceptible to a DoS-attack? :D

On a completely unrelated note; you seem to have a pretty wacky definition of "top-secret"...

Aww, shoot. I already voted for filling the file queue. Now that I know about this DoS vulnerability, I will fill the file queue, THEN write a quick wget scriptie.

Oh, I forgot, TICalc blocks WGET!!! What is up with that????

ticalc.org doesn't want you to mass-download files, and wget makes that easier to do. They block according to the user-agent string, but wget lets you change its default string. <cough>wget -U Mozilla</cough>

I expect this post to be censored by ticalc.org staff shortly. :D

Do you happen to think there may be a very good reason to block this kind of access? Good, me too. Then why do you "help" ticalc by pointing out a way around the protection (hmm, that makes me wonder what that *cough* ridiculuos *cough* DMCA has to say about using "wget -U something" to bypass a security measure...?).
Anyway, it seems like your fears for censoring are pretty exaggerated, seeing that your post is still there, three weeks later.
