They have all since left us for bigger and better things :( If only one of them can come back at least once to make one of the most awesome calc programs you can make with a university degree...

who says you have to have a degree? im in 8th grade, and program in assembly (i guess you have a point. I have enver completely finished one program) but still, i am coming out with a good game soon. Hopefully...

Zelda: Ascii Quest

All graphics are text-i got the idea from the basic 83+ series game, zelda: Dark link quest...i played it. thought, "this sucks, it is simply too slow" Then I wanted to make an assembly version (right now it is in early stages, and is sorta TOO fast.)

If you know assembly, should i use groups or getcsc for the keypresses to slow it down?

I'm currently using direct input (groups) for keypresses.

Anyway, i hope people like it when it comes out.

Crap, i hate when i have add and get off-topic, even though i believe add and adhd are loads of BS

Off-topic again, i shutup now

Always use direct input. You can slow down the keypresses by calling a slow down loop after you detect a keypress. Something like:

slow:
LD BC, $3000
slow_loop:
DEC BC
LD A, B
AND A
JP NZ, slow_loop
RET

I am registered at a local university to double-major in computer science and mathematics. I've already taken sophomore-level calculus, and I'm still a senior in high school! Calculus == w00t!

I'm also taking a class in IA-32 assembly (another sophomore-level class).

i know this will sound completely irrelevent to the survey question. (it is) Does anyone know how to type omega in ascii format?
I'm working on a game(zelda: ascii quest)and the character is supposed to be omega, but i can't seem to find how to type it (alt+x+x+x)

I have 2 solutions, the first open the utility in accessories, and I think omega is there. My other solution is to get a mac. :)

use the num pad for the numbers not the numbers about the letters.

I'm majoring in Pre-Pharmacy, which requires lots of Math and Science courses (as will Pharmacy School), so I guess that would put math as a primary focus of my major.

Second focus for me. I'm majoring in Chemistry and thinking of double majoring with mathematics at the College of Wooster.

Side note: "math" in Gaelic translates to "good"

I love it. A good place to go if you're looking for a small school where teachers know you by name. It also has great science, math, and music programs ... and a bagpipe marching band. If you'd like to know more or want contact info for tours and what not, email me and let me know.
