TI-84 Plus Silver Edition

Online store: eXpansys
Price: € 149,30 (including taxes and shipping costs)

Living in the Netherlands, this one was the cheapest I found.

Now it's price decreased with about € 15 :'(

1. You bought an eighty-four for 14,930 euros? I may not be in touch with the exact exchange rates, but that works out to about 10,000 US.
2. You put the comma in the wrong place.

Commas are used in place of decimal points in some countries.

Actually I told the kid that they were worth around $120 before I bought it, but he still sold it. As for how he could sell it for so little, I did not ask.

Hmm lets see... theres quite a few....

TI-83: Bought it from school used for 10 dollars.

TI-83+:Kid gave it to me, he thought it was broken... it wasnt.

TI-83+: Bought it for 6 dollars and some chips. (Im serious)

TI-83+: Given to by a friend for fixing his Ti-89.

TI-83+:only contained mother board and screen, I had to find a case from a friend's already broken calculator.

TI-81: Given to from a kid at a summer course I was taking.

TI-86: Bought for ten dollars.

TI-85 traded for above TI-83.

TI-83+ SE: Bought from walmart for $130.

TI-83+ SE: Found in trash can, cover missing.

Ti-83+ SE: Given to by a friend in excahnge for doing his math homework and giving him a certain pen he wanted.

TI-89: Bought it from Walmart for $140.

TI-89 Titanium: Bought it from Target for $145

As you can see... I have alot of calculators... they even have their own drawer devoted to them.

Remember that all computers (including calculators) are only as smart as the user.

why would I buy the 89T? because those are not easy to get cheap or free around here. Everyone has ti-83+'s but only a few have 89's and if you think about it, most people who have them are relatively smart due to the fact that they are using a higher functioning calculator anyways... meh, maybe its just kids around here, only the smart people have em, haha.

Ah, you high-schoolers have it so easy... In my K-8 school, only me and two other friends (aside from our math teacher) have Ti graphing calcs. Total, that's two 89Ts, and two 83+SEs. Nobody in the entire school knows C, except for me.

Oh, the lonelyness...

the c part was completely random, and c is as easy as tibasic. try learning assembly(z80 or 68k) if you want to impress me.

Real Programmers (tm) will frequently spend 4 hours at a time running their assembly code through an emulator line by line, trying to find that one small bug. Yes, assembly does get hard once you get past the "hello world" programs.

I'm learning true 68k Assembly, but the tutorials aren't finished at TechnoPlaza. (See link).

>> Techno-Plaza is undergoing a process of rewriting older assembly lessons

Question: Are the 68k calc's cpus 16 or 32-bit?

Might be easier to bypass the resistor instead if you can map out the traces on the board, since it won't get screwed up by things like the small amounts of capacitance from the wires/switch/etc.

well it is in the same circuit as the cap so any capacitance that it creates should affect the circuit as well. also don't the wires add resistance too.

But if it's not directly in parallel with the capacitor, it shouldn't have too much of an effect, and the resistance of wires is so small it's not even worth thinking about (usually less than 0.1 ohms in the stuff I've used).
