I'm in current progress of making a BASIC program directly based on that one show on NBC called "Deal or no Deal." It's got full graphics and animations.

No argument there. Though both would be nice :)

Too many "fancy random number generators" >_<

Wait till I finish Battlemasters... ;)

Hmm...a driver for a USB true random number generator might be interesting, though. :)

Yes... perhaps the question should be "how many good programs are you planning to upload"

After I finish college applications (UW is due Feb. 1st) then I'm going to start Boggle for the 89. I've got some of the code written through in my head (and a really bad basic version that I programmed in about half an hour), but I'll have to learn how to do memory management right. Eew. I've also thought of doing Seven Seas, but I'm bad at graphics, so I probably won't.

If it's still in your head it's not written yet :) Has anyone ever had problems sleeping because programming code kept repeating itself in yuor mind and you couldn't stop thinking? That just came to mind since you said you had half of it in your head.

I've done that before.. haha if I'm workin on a project, I'll think about it most of the day.. trying to come up with a better routine/graphic that I already have.. sometimes, I'll even dream about it haha.. I once woke up at around 3 AM because I had dreamed a way to make the program better.. I went and wrote it down for fear of forgetting it before I woke up again :D

That happened to me while I was writing up the code for my French Verb Conjugator program. I could've sworn conjugated verbs were running through my mind as if they were being processed by the calculator through the whole night, whether it was in a dream or as I woke up. Was I all sleepy the next day? You betcha! Good thing was I was still in winter break. Anyways, I've been trying to get started with Asm programming, but I always come to a problem when trying to compile them into a program usable in a calculator. TASM, Devpac, ObjHex, whatever I use it never works! The computer always says "16 bit MS-DOS subsystem blah blah blah The sustem file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications blah blah blah." And when I use Zilog Developper Studio, I can use it in the Ti-83 plus flash debugger but I can't send it to my calculator! It is so frustrating. Can anyone send me in a bundle pack the Asm utilities they use and the tutorials they learned their stuff from? Or submit such a pack as a file to ticalc.org. Once I learn how to make Asm programs, I will not only be able to submit Asm programs, but think in Asm, not BASIC.

I'm planning on submitting an 83+ Spanish Irregular Verb conjugator, and maybe an 89TE prog written in C. We'll see if that holds out!

I've just uploaded a file like that, only it's for french verbs, irregulars and regulars. Hopefully it won't get rejected.

I suppose that smily means you liked it. But for some reason or another, my last few programs got rejected. The file upload read me only tells you how to submit files, and I wish it would give you more specifc guidelines as to what not to submit, to save evryone the trouble. Anyways if people around here like it, I can't imagine how my classmates would react (seeing how half the class is failing french).

What a shame. Guess the number provided hours of fun to my cat :) But that link you provided isn't too specific. "Other than that it is up to the digression of the file archiver." They arem't too specific; basically you can't submit profanity, meaningless junk, guess the number, and quadratics. Very specific... On another note, today I decided to share a few programs I made with those who aren't lucky enough to be able to download from this site. You should've seen this one kid's eyes light up when he hear me say I had a program that can conjugate verbs. And in my Algebra 2 class everyone was all like "Wow your calculator actually got that right" and I say "Yeah I made it! Of course it will get it right! That and I used formulas in the book..." When you get responses like that, you know you did a job well done.
