My guess is that rom83 is an ASM program, so on the regular 83, you need to find the send( token (from the catalog), paste it to the homescreen, type "9", and then paste rom83 after it. This is the equivalent of running an ASM program on the 83+ with the Asm( token.

It's been a while now... but I used to contribute every survey I saw here... and nowhere else. Some of those surveys sparked some great discussions... others led to HUNDREDS upon HUNDREDS of posts in either 1337 speak or text converted to binary, hex, and base 37.7.
It doesn't really matter what the survey is about, or how creative or humorous it is, everyone here will only post so much on topic, and then, by it's closing, 99% of the threads will be about "120d 120d\!\!". Just a part of life.

Just to prove your point:

It's not "120d\!\!", it's "120d//!!". ;-)

lol! looks like 101! which looks like the factorial of the binary number 5 (101b = 5d) and 5d! = 120d
So in short, "120d" means "lol!"

i thought the '\!' was the escape character plan implemented after the fault was discovered when using
'120d!' which was a trule rediculous value... how does the double backslash not result in a syntax error?

Do you mean the double slash, not double backslash? The slash is "/"; the backslash is "\".

The double slash ("//") is the start of a comment in languages like C++, so I guess they use that to comment the exclamation points so they're not interpreted as factorial (or worse, double factorial!).

Did you mean to double post your comment? I tried to answer the first one you put up. Check that one out...
