I helped many members of the original RBP on a head-to-head basis learning TI-Basic, so...yes, on a regular basis once upon a time.

Bryan Rabeler and Thomas Hruska. I think I had that dream because I had been spending too much time reading the mailing list archives. :-)

Thats not weird. I once had a dream that Magnus was teaching me how to bea filearchiver before they even announced that they were going to hire for that position.

It scared the crap out of me when I was accepted for the interview. However the whole process is much different than I dreamt, and Magnus of course wasn't showing me how to do it in person :-)

I dream often of being a staff member here or of being at a ticalc.org convention, of course when I'm not dreaming of being God... How about a convention in the southern US?

Hmmm... I thought I was the only one to have such a dream. I bet mine tops all in weirdness, though.

I dreamt a bunch of ticalcers all lived in a house with the same color scheme of this site! Yeah, it's weird.

I need to find out what I ate that night so I can have more of it!

Haha, you do realize that by typing 10^3, you didn't save any typing time? 10^3 and 1000 both have 4 characters :) I'm starting to hate scientific notation since I see it in Chemistry every day. (blah)

And actually, by searching (yes, even if you type well, there is STILL a little bit of searching involved) for those FOUR characters rather than being able to repeat the "0" two more times, it actually took longer...although if you typed 1e3, those characters are pretty close on the keyboard, so it might be quicker than 1000...

however, e3 would NOT work in the real world. It only works on the calculator because it interprets the "small E" as "10^" with implied multiplication if there is a number in front of it. In the real world, there would have to be a 1 in front of it...it's just standards...

Actually, it's funny that you should mention that, because my locker number at school is 337, and a while ago, I got a permanent marker and wrote a one before the 337. Now my locker is 1337 ;-)

ever heard of Leet Speak? It's typing with numbers of other characters rather than letters...for example, "cat" might be "c47" because "47" almost looks like "AT" if you have an imagination..."1337" would be: "lEET"...or "Leet" for Leet Speak...it's the "hacker's number." 50, h4v3 1 3n1i9h73n3d y0u?
1 = I or l
2 = Z
3 = E
4 = A
5 = S
7 = T
8 = B (i think)
9 = g
0 = o
