Not unless you have multiple personalities and each one of them has a different account at ticalc.org :-)

That would be an interesting idea ;-)...

One personality writes grayscale assembly games, one writes only educational progs, one writes crappy BASIC stuff, one doesn't care about programming and only visits the message boards :-)...

BASIC isn't bad, it's just the people who write it are. B^)

I didn't mean that all BASIC progs were bad, I just meant that that specific personality would write crappy BASIC stuff. Maybe another personality would write good BASIC stuff... :-)

Well, my response was "real world? what's that?". What world IS there outside of computers and hard rock?

The problem is that there's someone I know who has visited ticalc.org and writes a bit of assembly (but hasn't uploaded anything), and some others that just download games (as far as I know), but I don't know if any of them would count as part of the "TI community"...

Yes, but only once for me. It would be Scott Noveck, of ACZ fame, the one who first got greyscale working on HW2's. I'm going to the same college next year as he is currently attending so we met up when I visited the campus. That's what gave me the inspiration for the poll.

I answered no. TI's aren't that big of a thing around here for most people except for me.

I live in Tempe, Arizona! I might have read on detached solutions that Michael Vincent lives in Phoenix, or I might be wrong.

Hey, by "next year" do you mean the 2004-2005 school year? or the 2005-2006 school year? I'll be going there 2005-2006, but only that late because I got a full ride to Chandler-Gilbert Community College...I'm going to do what ever I can there for FREE, then I'll transfer over to ASU...I've already taken 4 semesters at CGCC to finish my HS credit, and have 52 college credits as I graduate. It's pretty cool.

I live in Mesa, just like north of Gilbert or something. Maybe we could get together sometime!

BTW, is launching model rockets illegal in Gilbert? I know it is in Mesa, so I go down to Gilbert (just south of Baseline) to launch them. :-)

You know, I have no clue...But it's funny that you have to go to a different city to launch them rockets :)

Yes, it's very illegal...I would definitely enjoy having a "get together" so to speak, however I probably couldn't find anyone willing to drive me to a "nerdfest" so it would probably have to be pretty close...I just got a job at QuikTrip, and am currently training at the one on Greenfield between Baseline and I-60, so if you wanna come meet me there, that may be pretty close. I'll only be there two more days though...Sunday the 9th from 2-10PM and Monday the 10th from 3:30-10PM. That would be really cool to actually meet someone...let me know if you're gonna come down there, and if you do, just ask for Jake the trainee...I will most likely be on the register, but maybe not. This might be fun! Although I may not have much free time, because I'm on the job...tell you what though...if anyone comes in the days and times I mentioned and says they are from TICalc.org and gives me their User name, I'll buy 'em a fountain drink. OK, I'm done rambling. When I get excited, I talk. Then talk some more. So I'm done now.
