Where's the "No, TI gave me a copy of CellSheet for the TI89 for free. Why buy it?"

I got all the ones they make for the 83+ for free when I had to return my SilverEdition because it broke. Good deal - they pay for the replacment, postage, apps, and even express mail the replacment while I get *MORE* apps FREE.

hmmm...maybe it will mess up every year...

Or you could simply register your calc and download them for free.

But I can't download the NEW apps that have come out since I got my calc for free, I can only download updates/patches.

Why no option for "I write my own?"

The poll assumed using TI's Flash apps at all. I should have had an extra option for "I find free alternatives to the pay Flash apps."

i always wondered why do you have to pay for the elements on ti.com for the 83+ but it's free here?

Someone probably either stole the code and re-compiled it for all calculators --or-- wrote somthing on their own to replicate the one from TI.

I don't know what the free one does because my 83+SE came with the one free.

The Elements here was written by Michael Vincent, and is not the same one that TI sells.

The one that TI sells is called "Periodic"

I voted that I just use the free ones but I do have some that cost somthing. I didn't buy them, they came included on my ti-83+SE.

They need a option "Yes, but they came included with my calc."

I wouldn't pay for most of those flash apps. They would be useful, but it wouldn't be worth the hassel.

I agree but I still am not deleting the ones that came with my 83+SE. I do use a couple of them. I have phone #'s and e-mail addresses in the Organise App (although I use my cell phone now that I have one) and I somtimes have used one or two others that they charge for. I learned the hared way that you cannot transfer the flash apps that you must buy from one calc to another.

Thats nice, but here is a comparison of your options:
1. Get an address book. When you need to record an address, get it out of your backpack/bag and scribble down the information you need to know.
2. Use the Organise APP. When you need to record an adress, get it out of your backpack, bag, or pocket and slowly type in all your friend's addresses using the ABC keyboard. Of course this is only a problem for those of us who can't already get 30 wpm on it.

As I said, I use a Cellular phone now. Besides, I can use "T9en" and it will try to guess the word so I don't have to type it all out. Besides, then I can just say what I want to do and it does it.

"Home" --> "Calling...Home...Dialing..."

yah, I do that most of the time, unless I'm actually concerned about pointing out a reply EVERY comment. Besides, it would take forever to read this whole page otherwise.

I don't think so because the calculator has a electronic ID (MEM, 1) that is programmed in so when it is done transforing, it gets to "Validating..." and appears with some error (link or otherwise) so unless you can get around that, no.

You could try to see if on the link menu you can use "SEND ID" (at the bottom of the list) to trick the calc. If so, let me know because I have never tried it.
