"No, I just use someone elses code and steal the source to remake the App" <-- new option? =P

Well no, I get by with:
Calcsys, MirageOS, Elements, Notefolio and Omnicalc.
I wouldn't mind using CellSheet but yeah, what can you do if you only have an 83+ and aren't allowed to use online banking? *borrow* APP and run it on a copy of the 83+SE on VTI...

I have a SE and if it didn't come with the apps it did, I would probably have only the ones you listed. I would also have all the ones you listed now but I don't want to delete the ones my calc came with. I've found that somtimes it can be usefull to have them on there when you need them. I also don't want to mess up the numbering. I know [APPS][8] is MirageOS, [9] is NoteFlio, and [0] is organise.

well, APPS ON is also Mirage, assuming you have omnicalc.

I gave up on remembering the APP numbers to run one, I usually just remember them after a few goes when something new is installed.
Calcsys is great for unprotecting basic programs (I'm trying to make a hex file to do that) and it's good for learning hexadecimal allocations.
MirageOS - need I say more? yer', it's just a good shell for running programs.
My favourite Omnicalc feature would be the entries menu and probably the parenthesis helper.
blah blah'

The only apps I have added are Forecast 3.0; MirageOS; NoteFlio; WorldGeo; Timer.

I don't like OmniCalc and I would like Krolypto but it messes up the numbering so [0] would not be my scheduler.

LOL... I have 26 apps, so my numbering was screwed long ago.

Numbering? Yeah, I know what it is but why stick with routines just for the sake of it?
Omnicalc and MirageOS have some compatibility problems with the keyhooks...
Krolypto, hmm... It's not a very secure program, just a deterant or rather "fool proof".

If you use it right, you can secure your calc so the only way to get around the password is if you have a screwdriver, lots of time, and a computer w/ link.

I've got the 89 version of CellSheet, and for I while they were giving it away free... so I still have the reciept and download certificates for whatever ID I want. So if anyone wants CellSheet for the 89, contact me, and I'll add your ID to the certificate and send it to you.

Does anyone know a place where they have Flash Apps such as Geometer's Sketchpad for free?

LOL Well, people HAVE cracked the APPs before, or so I heard. But they won't be posted at ticalc.org (for obvious reasons).

It is completly possible to re-sign an application with the freeware key (read: you can pirate apps if you want to.)

Of course, I'd hate to see what TI would do if you released any pirated apps.

I've done it before. It's very easy and as simple as editing two locations in the file with a HEX editor.

Oh jeez, TI gets mad if you release old OS versions.

Hmm... the way this surey is titled it is as if it were a string defined within a program
e.g. "TI\'s"

yeah... that's odd that someone thought they needed an escape character for a database entry.

or perhaps just a script error.

Well, when the string was passed through the script, it most likely needed an escape character (I know some languages require it), and when it was outputted to the text, it wasn't formatted out. It's not a big deal... plus, it's been like this forever, and it's never bothered me :)

the thing is that it would never have had to be processed through any language. it's a parameter passed to a script, not part of a script, so generally, no escape character would be required.

i don't know how it works, but i can't imagine why an escape character would ever be used.

The escape character is normally not typed in, no. The script will automatically escape the string before passing it on to the database backend. In this case, the script escaped it *twice*.

Yes, that is classified as a bug. Yes, it's now fixed :)

Ever heard of SQL injection?

You do need to escape certain characters when using them in SQL queries.
