New year blah blah blah
AeroFoam  Account Info

I'm new around here. I would like to inform the sorry souls that I've seen posts from. First of all if you want to get really technical Pope Micheal as a dip-S*** and screwed up on our calander. If you take the theory of dateing time from a time of death of Meshiah (Jesus for you laymen), thanthis is the year 2003. On the other side of the world, they could ggive a F*** less about Christ. Over in China it's like the year 8000-9000, and yet in some cultures it is only around the year 200. while I could go on for a rather long time, I'll just wish you all a happy year, and ask you to please, please keep learning. thanks :)

You {all the people posting replies, excluding me ¦·)} have WAY to much free time on your hand. Who really cares when the millennium starts? Nobody can prove that the year 1 AD was 2000 or 1999, or any other number years before this one...
Just celebrate every New Year...

FF for TI-38? Well there are good RPGs for all calc models, whether it be the TI-28, 38, 58, 68, 98, or 29(+). ;-)

On TI's base calc page, they're advertising a TI-15. =) Good night, almost everyone that visits there must be interested in calculators that do more than a TI-15 would.

I wish they'd release an 86+ (or just call it TI-87), an 86 with flash memory. That would be nice.

I think that a TI-87 would be a good idea, except it should be like the TI-89 except without the CAS that makes it too powerful to use in school. (someone gave the head of the math department an 89 for christmas, so all the math teachers know about it's power and it is not allowed on tests and quizes except in calculus)

Calculus is the one class it should *not* be allowed in, since it can do almost all of the material in Calc I automatically.

Well, I have a TI-86 and a TI-89. I used to have a TI-85, but I gave it away. We can use TI-89s in our Pre-Calculus class, and they don't do _everything_. If I really wanted the easy grade I would get an HP-49, as it does a tat more and will show you all the steps (so the teacher would think that you "showed your work")

Hey, I don't have much else about the new year to say, but I just wanted to ask if anyone knows, or could point me to something that has a list of TI calculaters that are compatible with eachother, like what other calculaters could I link to my TI-82? I'd appreciate the help a lot, thanks
Chris

Hmmm, not quite sure what you mean. Unless you are playing ZTetris with another calc, no other calc is compatible with the 82 in terms of programs, strings, etc. For a list of TI-85/82 programs that are compatible with the 86, go to http://more486.ticalc.org/. Note that this means the 86 can run some 85/82 programs, NOT the other way around.

It might be possible (I don't know, though) to link a TI-82 with a TI-86 that is running a TI-82 program. But how many TI-82 games are there that support the link? ZTetris, obviously, but is there anything else? I mean, the calculator doens't exactly have a load of memory or popularity.

Here's the deal: the 82 can send programs to the 83 and the 83+, but the 83's cannot send programs to an 82. Same applies to the 85 and the 86, I think. And if I really am right, the 89 and the 92's are all compatible (at least BASIC programs are).

Um, that has been around for awhile. Even my religion (I had to take it :/) book that I used 3 years ago, published several years earlier, used BCE and CE.
