I have... I'm the surprised and frightened, angry geek diving to save my calculator from the prick who was trying to dip the top end of my 89 in a cup of pizza sauce (caught on camera, that's right)... I also carry it around with me, so I'm in many more with it.

sadly it wasn't my camera, and the person was only going to sell me the pic for a price too high, so it's not in my possesion, and i know not at this point if it is still even in a state good enough to view

Also, asking for a price for that is really dumb LOL getting an extra print from the negatives cost a few cents.

Mine is in my pocket 80% of the time that I'm outside of the house (and something like 30% of the time that I'm in it). Some days I have 2 calcs, my TI-89 on my left and my HP 49G on the right (it's easier for me to reach my left side because I have long arms).

yeah, mine is, like, my pda pretty much, as well as my little gaming system, and my calculator, so i have my calc almost everywhere i go

Me too-I carry them everywhere with me-86 in one pocket and 83+ in another-I'm going to have problems if I get another calc.

Plus, we all like to be nerdy. And your calc is your friend. Why not take it everywhere? Some people take their PDA's everywhere. Some people take their wallet everywhere... And I think a calc in your pocket looks better than chains on your belt buckles.

As for me, I just keep my TI-89 in a belt pack I wear virtually all the time.

Now, if someone has his/her calc attached by a chain, that might look cool and make the calc easier to unholster as an added bonus. Of course there's the issue of the cover and other technicalities I'd rather not discuss, but it sounds possible.

Well... you could have a clip on the back of your calc that can snap on to the chain, then just put the case on and hope it doesn't fall off :)
