I think it's time TI releases a calc with plasma color screen, built in surround sound and microphones ,speech recognition, bluetooth technology, internet acces, GPS receiver, startup password program, removable 2GB memo stick, 3 communication ports, 800 MHz low energy processor, solar panel that can feed the batteries, 3 built-in program languages(perl included), a prise less then $ -e*imag(sqr(ln(1/pi*7!)^e/(log(i))*pi^2

LOL I'm a loser...according to my 89:

$ -e*imag(sqr(ln(1/pi*7!)^e/(log(i))*pi^2
=$110.6172071017 :) I would like a calc that could do that much for so little cost!

I want a calculator that'll make me food, but that won't happen.

By the way, does anyone think they can draw a better pig than me on their calculator?

That sort of sounded like I'm calling myself a pig, didn't it?

The chicken looks funny, but you're right, the pig is pretty good. When all the lines are together like that, it looks like a big curve, instead of a lot of lines. Oh, you might want to turn off the Y= statments and the plots (FnOff and PlotsOff). :)

$110 for a calculator like that? Heck, I'd pay twice that! (or more)

They just released the 73 Explorer last week (not that that's a new calculator), and a couple months before that the Voyage 200, I seriously doubt any new calc soon, but maybe some improvements on old ones (like the 86).

If the 86 had flash memory I'ld probably buy one, my algebra 2 teacher won't let me use my 89.

I hate to say this, but the 86 is dead. They haven't done anything with it in a long time.

TI should create the "TI-86 Plus" with FLASH ROM...
but they probably won't.

They still sell and manufacture the 86, 83 (in a funky new case), and sell (but not manufacture) left over 85s and 82s, but I haven't seen any 85s in a while, so they may have cleared out their stock (it was just the predecessor to the 86 anyway, like the 82 to the 83).

My friend had an 86 until some ink got spilled all over it and bust the calc, it was pretty cool.

I think they're killing out all the other calculators except the 73, 83+se, 89, and v200. :(

I dunno, I think the 83+ will stay as strong as the 83+SE, I think the SE is just there like the v200 is to the 92+, oh wait, they killed the 92+, oh well.

click above for my website...lol I'm insane

There's no need for TI to come out with any new calculators...but why wouldn't they? The more new calculators they come out with, the more people will feel the need to buy those calculators.

I figured that they'd wait because the v200 was sort of recent (many months back, but still)

If they were to make a new one, I'd be interested in what special features it would have. The 73 has the fraction and the *colors*, the v200 brought the icon desktop (with AMS 2.08), what next?
