I give it a 5 out of 5. I also liked the part about 'lighting stuff on fire'.

You know what's odd... If I were to lose about 50-60 pounds, my face would be very similar (eerily similar) to yours.

Hmm.... I think Michael's is a bit skinnier.

That's what I meant. Lose 50-60 pounds, and my face would get skinnier. All I have to do is look at my old elementary school pictures and I can see that.

Oh... I would have also voted 5, but at the time I didn't get it, so I voted "hat?"

Um, MichaelV? Could you make a general discussion board? It could be a board that automatically clears itself at the beginning of each week, and it could be uncensored... that way we could all discuss a range of topics to each other. I think that some people visit this site more than they check their e-mail (In a day, the ratio of times I visit ticalc.org to the times I check my mail is averaged around 5:1) Besides, it's more of a community when more than two people can talk to each other at once... and I'm not allowed to chat anymore (@#$@#), so this is my only connection with multiple people I can get... and probably not just me.

If it were to be censored, the only thing that I think that should be cut out is strong profanity or really bad flames.

It seems that discussion isn't as lively when it's strictly on-topic, so that's why I thought we could have our on-topic discussion (the news), and then, our general discussion: all topics, anything.

I don't know where else to ask this question, because I assume that the ticalc.org staff views the news more commonly then their e-mail. (I do)

This could make both sides happy, and we wouldn't need to worry as much about off-topic posts cluttering up the news.

Could something like this be set up? That would really be great. Thanks for reading this,

I gave it a 1, simply because I don't like Michael with his Steven Tyler lips.

I only delete offtopic posts, as I mentioned. I'm not so biased and irrational as to delete posts that are against me. Seeing as this poll is about my hat, then wouldn't he have a valid comment?

My point coincides with rule #3:
"Don't insult or flame other people in your comments. Keep such sentiments to private email, or better yet, avoid them completely."

Don't tell him to delete posts! (Unless they're really profane, or have links to p0rn--which that post wasn't)

Mr. Vincent, you have just inspired me to put a jester character in my RPG. As such, I have come to the conclusion that you are a very bad influence and should be taken out and shot, after which I will come and steal your awesome hat.

...which by the way earns a 4 from me on account of the fact that your expression hardly matches your attire! In other words, you don't look very... jesterly.

Of course. The whole point of wearing a jester hat to wear it seriously, that's much more funny. Conversely, act silly when not wearing such a hat.

Ah, but my rating was of the HAT, not the whole picture!

If you want me to rate the picture, then here you go:
This piece is a collection of various ideas sewn together to form a whole. The books in the background symbolize intelligence. The hat, when viewed as being worn on one with a serious (and slightly evil-looking) expression, represents the clash between the desire to have fun and the natural fear of looking ridiculous in the minds of staring eyes (symbolized by the background light.) As a result, the bearer of the hat is conflicted, as is shown by his mouth. He is wanting to smile, but his consuming fear prevents him from expressing the fullness of his emotions.
Overall, this is a very remarkable piece. I give it a 4.8.

Are you, by any chance, in some kind of HONORS ENGLISH class? I'm the type of person who looks at a picture of a person and sees a person... you look at the picture and see all this other stuff that signifies this and this and this...

I'm illiterate and I can't spell. (see?)

*Laugh* Yes, but don't think that this stuff comes natural to me. I had to sit there staring at that picture for a while thinking, "What if...?"

As for illiteracy? Once, long ago, I had a friend test a TI-89 RPG I had written in Basic when he exclaimed "That should say 'RUSTLING leaves!!' Leaves don't 'RUFFLE!!'" ...If there was ever a time I needed to crawl into a hole, that would have to be it.

That's nothing. In the paper this morning they had a picture of a place in Richmond, CA where the road crew had misspelled the word "BUMP" painted on the road, exchanging it for the word "BMUP". The headline was, I kid you not, "A BMUP in the road".

I spelled musician wrong in a state spelling bee... in front of EVERYONE and their cameras! If you think that's not bad... this is how I spelled it: M-U-S-I-T-I-O-N... that's pretty bad. :) The saddest thing is: I MADE IT TO THE STATE SPELLING BEE! I won for the school... that's pretty scary, since I'm Mr. Cant spel!
