An ADC on a link cable is something i've wanted to do for a while, so that
I could use my '89 as a multimeter, *possibly* as a low speed scope.

Another thing. Virtual TI somehow types a string on the home screen of a
'89 when you get it to make a ROM dump. This is interesting, you could hit
an 'acquire' button on the multimeter box and it'd send a measured value
to your home screen, for use in whatever calculations you're doing. I'd
find a load of uses for this in EE courses that i'm doing.

Shouldn't be hard to implement this, using one of many free ADC samples
off national semi's website and a PIC micro... as well as switches,
resistor networks, op amps and whatever else you might need to implement
different modes and input ranges.

I think i'll work on this project, when exams this term are over.
