The task you've picked is nearly impossible. If you play a brass instrument
then you already know this but anyway. In order to play a brass instrument you
need to make a buzz with your lips. Not only that, you have to change the
pitch of the buzz depending on the note. From c to g uses one lip set and from
g to the next c uses another. Pipe length doesn't dictate all of the notes. It
would probably be easier to rig up a woodwind instrument over brass. A flute
for instance would be really easy.
