Re: TI-H: why

Except they could make their own backup file and add ASM support to the TI-85
and 92, just like we did, but they'd probably charge for it or something. ):

What would be more likely though, Is if they made a box like I've wanted since
the EII (Mel Tsai's promised, but never made version that is).

You would simply use the link menu to send files and it might have either a
tiny LCD or it would send recognize a BASIC program, say, named EXPANER or
maybe DIR too. You simply type DIR into the EXPANDER file, or you could send a
file named DIR. When you set the calc to recieve, and press a button, it would
return a file named DIR with a list of the files on the expander. Then you
send the expander file with the names of the files you want, and then set the
calc to recieve and then hit a button and you get your files!

It's possible, but it would require so much firmware programing it's
sickening. TI would also charge so much for it it would, well, suck!!!

TI sucks too much to make a decent memory expander. They could do it, but they
probably realize no one would buy it cause they couldn't afford it, and TI
doesn't know how to charge reasonably! (:

Come on!!! CASIO sells a COLOR graphing calc for $80!!! COLOR!!! If TI would
worry about making their cash on semiconductors and make the educational part
cheaper, that would be great! They do have cheap calcs, but I think they could
EASILY do better!!!

The real cost comes with their add ons. The CBL and CBR are both expensive, as
well as addons to those!!! It sucks!
