That depends on how fast you run the bit.  A sharp bit can be used
to work plastic with no problem, I've done it many times.  Of course,
it depends on the plastic, softer types deform easier.
You might have to clean up the edges a bit, but the point is that with
a minimal amount of work, you can mold the case and the use hand
tools to finish the job.
