I had this problem with my TI-81 and one of my TI-85's Never had it on
my 82, 83, or 86 though. I think it has to do with the battery case. I'm
not certain, but on my 85, I trimmed some plastic away from the +
terminal on the lower left corner and I never had the problem again.
I've seen other peoples TI-81s and TI-82s do it as well. The TI-92 is
probably immune since it uses a diferent style battery case.

Also, I have a dead TI-80. I'm wondering if anyone has a good TI-80 they
want to sell cheap. It's the only calc I don't have, and I also want to
try assembling it's incomplete link port circuitry once I look at other
link ports.

Thanks!
