The speed has to do with the hardware (interferance) and how fast the rom
routines are... its hard to explain.  I got a big long lecture from mel on
it, and beleive me...some calcs can transfer faster than others.  Mel is
working on theories to make the 85 go 15k from the link port, but there is
too much interferance...
